General frame installation

To install your Endless frame you will need to perform the following steps:

  1. Remove the wheels from your skates.
  2. Remove the old frame by unscrewing the frame bolts using the appropriate hex or Torx tool that came with your skate.
  3. Set aside the frame bolts and washers (if there are some).  If the thickness of the old frame is significantly less than 4 mm then you may need to acquire longer frame bolts to ensure enough thread engagement when installing the Endless frames.
  4. Inspect the condition of the threadlocking compound on the bolts.  This is usually a blue or red compound pre-applied to a section of the bolt that prevents loosening from shock and vibration.  If this compound looks severely worn off, then we recommend cleaning any debris from the bolt using a wire brush and then applying fresh threadlocker.  We like to use Loctite Threadlocker Blue 242, which can be found at most hardware stores or on Amazon.  In your country you may have equivalent options.  Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application.  Please note: the threadlocker is a liquid and will not dry or harden until the bolt is installed.  It needs an absence of air to harden and form a bond to the metal.  It will set in 10 minutes and cure in 24 hours.
  5. Align your new Endless frame onto your skate.  Be sure to align the frame so that it's centered length-wise on the skate.  We recommend using the rearmost mounting slot in the heel.
  6. Install the washers and bolts and tighten until they are very snug.  You do not want these bolts to loosen during skating so be sure to torque them down fully.  If you experience a rub between the 2nd wheel and the mounting bolt then try removing the washer and re-installing the front bolt (some bolts heads are taller than others).

*You skate at your own risk after installing Endless frames onto your skates.  We are not liable for any injury that may occur due to improper installation, failure to securely fasten frame bolts, or inadequate application of threadlocker.  Rollerblading is a dangerous sport so always wear a helmet and protective gear when you skate.
